I am an Education PhD graduate of University of Central Florida, where I taught educational technology and studied the financial literacy of preservice teachers. I ran as a Democrat for U.S. House for Florida’s 6th district in 2020 and achieved 48.5% of the vote. I served as Chair of the Volusia County Democratic Party from December 8, 2020 to June 13, 2021. In the 2020–2021 school year I taught 11th grade U.S. History and 12th grade U.S. Government at a public high school and I am a professionally certified teacher in 15 subject areas.
