Your a moron, its funny how you say that photography is an “easy” art form. What makes it so easy? Answer that question.

2010-03-17 20:07:07:

Photography majors like to feel special with their pictures, and want to consider their pictures art. But a person with real artistic talent can draw and paint an art piece; a piece from the depths of their mind. Photography is an art, but an easy one, and I don’t consider photographers “artists.” To snap a beautiful photo doesn’t take tremendous talent. You can’t look at a beautiful photo and say it is just as much class as a fine art painting in a museum.

My site is down for the past three hours. Today is Wed March 17, 2010. Tried to call them but lines are all busy. I wonder if it is just my site, or others are affected too. They should have enable some kind of messaging to communicate with customers, either by email or when we log in into the Netfirms control panel. It is very frustrating to be in the dark about what is happening.

I was wondering if anybody here has heard of The Health Alliance? The founder is Dr. Rath. We have a saying that we are trying to end the Business with Disease. I know there are many ways of naturally curing cancer. His program has been successful with over 30 types of cancer. I came down with undiagnosed testicular cancer 3 years ago this month. I can’t say I had cancer but I had many similar symptoms as Lance Armstrong. Some of the most painful symptoms I have ever experienced in my entire life. I took his cancer program which is available at participating health food stores. 4 months out, pain vanished. People who were in hospice have used his program and are alive today and in perfect health. His program also deals with diabetes, AIDS,HIV, strokes, heart attacks, alzheimers, high blood pressure and many more diseases. The one way to prevent metastisis is to increase collagen production. If you strengthen the collagen of the tumor wall, the cancer cells can not spread because the collagen digesting enzymes cannot eat through the strengthened cell wall. The tumor eventually dies. I would like to talk more and hear of others experiences when they give up the chemo crack pipe. Thanks and all the best

Hi Richard,

Talk soon,

2010-03-09 16:51:38:

There’s no need for society to pool its wealth to establish an “insurance” racket so that a small percentage of the citizenry can secure medical treatment. Costs are prohibitively high because of red tape: licensing, record-keeping, taxes & so forth. The government has no Constitutional authority to forbid, nor to regulate, private contracts made between doctors & their patients.

2010-03-09 15:47:08:

A tax on the breath would be THE cash cow for the government, but i think we all have to reduce our carbon footprint, so thanks Richard for this enlightenment.

2010-03-08 16:19:44:

Richard, the list you made is dead-on. The nofollow tags are really a pain. You can also try to use tools like SEOQuake to make things easier. We’ve used that tool in Search Engine Optimisation Wales and it has done wonders for us. More power to your blog, Richard, and keep up the good work!

Hi Richard

Hello from Australia!

I don’t know if you are still there. I see the above was all written two years ago.
I read your article and all the comments below, and I will go through your sources that you suggested.
I think it’s fantastic. I’ve always been one to eat seeds. Interestingly I have no idea why. Probably the mottoe ‘waste not want not’, I’d just eat the whole apple core and all you know. I moved to the city eleven years ago. For work. That’s what they want of course. Bring us all in to one controllable mass. Your article made me think. I don’t eat like that any more. If I eat an apple sure. But that kind of food just isn’t around so easily. When I lived in the country there were fruit trees everywhere and I’d just eat randomly wherever I was. Now all the fruits they ‘manufacture’ are seedless.
Anyway, I hope your family is still doing well; you spoke of your father and grandfather I think.
Just a thought: A few idiots there told you to go and get an education and stop talking a load of crap. So you could be taught crap. Further more, if they have no beliefs aligned to this area I do wonder what they were doing on your page at all. They’ll tell us anything.

Good luck champ

Jo

I’ve found some cool people on both. A neat place to do more discussions on these topics! :-)

Buzz is really new but I dig the deeper converations there.

2010-02-28 06:56:01:

Snap shots anyone can take, but you still have to capture the moment correctly. Professional photographers have to learn an awful lot about lighting, dimensions etc. and there you do need to know what you are doing when you are taking photos in a studio for example. Photos can be so beautiful and only a few can consistently capture the best moments with right technique.

2010-02-27 18:54:51:

So artistic photo..Nice.

i couldnt hear it because my school blocks streaming media but i have learnt the piano for all my life as my mums a piano teacher and i dont think you should refer to this music as a song and ‘eights notes’ are actually tiny- and do not appears in this piece- they are just quavers with minims. sorry but i wish people would use the correct terminology. and its always better to get piano lessons rather than teach yourself. everyone i know who has tried to teach themselves have awful technique and get all sorts of bad habits which will take years to get rid off if you do ever set them right.
thanks

2010-02-20 17:07:34:

There is another memory card issue which you do not address, that is theft and accidental loss. My son lost 2 weeks of pictures during an international trip when someone stole his camera. I lost a week of pictures when I drove off leaving my camera on top of my car.

If we had been switching cards during our trip and storing the cards separate from the camera we’d have some of our pictures.

Swapping cards in the middle of a gale or in the middle of a stream balancing on uneven rocks in strong current is just silly, swap your cards in a place of relatively safety, at the end of the day in a room or at camp. The store them away from your camera, perhaps where you keep the photocopy of your passport and credit cards.

BTW: 10k inserts at 2 insertions per day every day = 13 years of use. I’m not worrying about exceeding the wear and tear level of the card or reader. I won’t be using this camera as my primary camera in 13 years.

Everything pictured is for sale for $50 total. None of these computers have hard drives or work (except one which has a 40GB hard drive which may work), but they have working power supply units (Molex power connectors / 20 pin power cable), CD-ROM drives, 3.5 inch floppy disk drives, PCI dial-up modems, ethernet cards, sound cards, VGA cards, SDRAM, etc. An HP Lightscribe DVD burner and BTC DVD burner is included, as well as 2 128MB Rambus RAM modules and some PCI cards in black plastic. 2 power supply units included (seen at front), plus 5 in the computers. Most of these computers are 10 years old but the parts are newer. One has a failed CPU, others do not start for unknown reasons. One PATA cable included. These computers do not have power cables or accessories and have been sitting in my living room for several years.

2010-02-18 04:16:33:

This article is moronic and insulting. I don’t know if the photo at the top is supposed to be an example, but that is a terrible photograph. A photographer is absolutely an artist who can create different visual compositions and effects using light and chemistry, color composition, and structural composition. A photographer can use different cameras, shutter speeds/apertures, types of film, paper, chemicals, toners, filters, lights… to attain countless creative combinations. One can even get involved in the physics and engineering of photography (which can get as complicated as to involve algebraic mathematical equations and geometry) Not to even get into the skill and practice that it takes to shoot quickly and efficiently with time limits and in possible hazardous situations. The esthetic possibilities (attained through the photographer’s creative process) are endless, as are the scientific facets of photography. I’m not talking about point-and-shoot with a digital SLR, I’m talking about a real, trained skill involving talent and practice and a substantial time investment. Photography is both and art and a science. The person who wrote this has NO idea what real photography is, and should concentrate his/her time doing more productive things than bashing something about which he/she CLEARLY knows NOTHING.

2010-02-17 19:58:16:

Huh - very odd. Some of the sentences sound wicked smart. Then the rest beat me over the head with stupid. Either way, interesting.

PLEASE ADD MY POST!

You do have some valid points, however, can you imagine the world without photography? There are some great photographers, many of whom have risked their lives in places such as Vietnam to tell the story, long before tv. however, there are many amateurs in this game who with the latest Nikon thinks their the next Richard Avedon.Digital has much to blame, give these GWC’s an old manual camera and they’d be lost!!!!!!

I’m guessing at some point this person who wrote this thread either had a negative experience at art school, or feels that his photography was better than the crap that art school laps up. Between the lines this person feels a sense of injustice or seeking acceptance.

The funny thing about photography taught as an art form is that the pictures are usually crap- like fine art really. Then the ‘artist’ has to resort to theory, quoting boring books by Susan Sontag or Roland Barthes Camera Lucida to sound clever. The scene is full of blaggers who fail to realise that The Mona Lisa is famous because of 2 reasons: (a) no one knows what it means and (b) it’s painted with a high level of technical skill that even now not many can achieve.

In my 4 years at art school I have not once seen many inspirational pictures by peers, but have indeed heard plenty of excessive wind. Debate, I thought photography was visual. The most sucessful photographers, film makers in the world got there by doing, not talking. No one would say a bad thing about Star Wars for example.

The liberal art scene is mostly made up of failed artists who became part time teachers, writers or otherwise yet another lefty, who preaches solidarity whilst daddy actually pays the rent. These talentless jerks really have nothing new to say other than serving up last nights reheated pizza with a dollup of mayo, otherwise known as ‘post modernism’.

Though you seem to present a few good points in your article, I have found, through my own research, many of your points to be ludicrous. The idea that cancer is simply a disease caused by the lack B17 is proven wrong by your own theory of how to incorporate it into your diet. My great-grandmother lived in the early twentieth century on a small farm in the country. None of her foods were processed, or in any way altered from their natural form. It is almost certain that she had B17 in her diet. However, she died of breast cancer at the age of 40. If you continue this trend, you will find that of her children, three died from breast cancer as well. All of them died long before processed foods overtook everything natural. They also died before our current, acceptably cancer treatments were invented. However, her remaining daughter recently contracted the same disease, and underwent chemo therapy. She is now in remission. In fact, the majority of my great-grandmother’s descendents who contracted the disease after the advent of modern cancer treatments have survived. They all went under the ‘cut, burn, and poisoned’ treatment. In recent years, we have discovered a gene in our family’s history that caused the cancer. It is a mutation in our genome, not a lack of ’seeds’ in our diets. Your calous dissapproval of the treatments that have saved many mothers’ lives in my family is wrong, disrespectful, and ,frankly, ludicrous. Please, if you want to talk about this subject, get your degree in oncology, not photography. Then, perhaps, you will have the creditials to support your fantasy.

2010-01-31 06:48:29:

You’re the freaking idiot. Every child deserves to freaking live! It was the mother and fathers fault! They need to be held responsible for their actions! She needs to give birth to the baby, and if she is to selfish to keep and raise him/her. put him/her up for adoption. And gay marriage is wrong. its nasty too. stop acting all liberal, “we want our rights” it is freaking annoying. I want freedoms too, but 30 years ago “same sex marriage would have been laughed at, no one would believe it was even possible….” Freedoms are good, religious freedom, the freedom of speech, ect….. - the freedom to abort a helpless baby who doesn’t have a chance to grow up and fall in love…. NOT!!!!! thinking about it makes me sick.

Very recognized thought there !

I could also see it as

Dumb people guess.
Smart people assume.
Smarter people assume with ignorance, that is to be fair to self and others that they can be unaware of their own ignorance and will politely question to seek out the differences.

2010-01-27 13:58:34:

I keep wanting to see the image upside down. For some reason I feel like I’m facing the wrong way in this image :)

2010-01-27 08:32:31:

The world nowadays is full of things and food and sensual over-stimulation and people lose their sense for the natural, people eat without thinking about it and they overlook one important thing which they should have learned from handling foods, the first sense which we develop as a fetus, the smelling sense.

Smell can be an accurate danger estimator because the brain processes the sense of smell without connecting it to the other senses, it does not get processed in the thalamus where the other senses do connect, it goes straight to the amygdalae which basically processes fear and aggression, (in ideal situations, situations without danger, without a reason for fear and aggression they can move on to other processing).
At young age doing a smell check on things or food would connect to imagination and a guessing how the brain and body would react to a substance or a meal or anything, for instance smell on something healthy and the brain should go yumm, furthermore imagining to swallow should enhance the sensation (try when not sure), smelling on something unhealthy would cause an emetic reaction, the difference is clear when you compare the sensations of food and hygienic products.
However with time the brain and body store more immunity information than they were given genetically and the guessing becomes way more accurate because the organism has got to know a larger variety of substances and mixings.

Kids should be encouraged to ‘try the trying’ before stuffing things down their throat, you know how they sometimes swallow toys, it is because they don’t know about it, hence they should be shown but nowadays people would give anyone a weird look who would sniff on a meal in a restaurant for instance and a common mother wouldn’t dare to teach such behavior because for one thing she wasn’t taught herself and for another thing because of the fear of the reactions of other people.
People expect food to be safe but without testing they wouldn’t know until it may be too late and within sensual over-stimulation the storage of memories blurs so that trying and imagining and guessing does almost get lost.

As all this is an instinct that is deep inside all humans the common human is confused simply because it is great always available and harmless but nobody uses it so the idea blurbs somewhere in the unconscious and the memories of processed foods and radiation and whatnot do pent up and the memories do boil. When the brain represses and does not want to remember a certain thing it turns physical in the body as a reminder or a key for unconscious processing of something unwanted.

So more and more data does add up and the sensual overload can not be summarized briefly and it leads to a thalamic overload and a confusion about the storage of information and about priority of memory followed by a radical hippocampic reaction (hippocampi are the memory center in the brain) and the brain and the body find a way to physically demonstrate mental failure and it may manifest in excrescences such as tumors to somehow store the unwanted but relevant information, usually at a place in the organism which relates to the mental fallacies.

I suppose in general eating seeds or roots could be of quite some help for the common human to reconnect to nature and the origins of life.

Life has come a long rough way and the bitter or not so nice taste of these things could be a good reminder and show alternatives to the stuck common ways of thinking in these times, however it is a mental thing after all and has a lot to do with how the conscious mind interacts with the physical side of living and the errors do mostly stem from how we unconsciously go about things. The danger lies in not knowing or in forgetting Why the unconscious part of the mind has made certain decisions.

… Do you seriously think it is that easy? Being heartless you CANT feel.. you CANT relate to others..hell you cant give a damn.. its a stage where you just feel numb…replacing your “negative” friends with cheerful happy friends? hell you’ll just end up punching them in the face..”heartless”..from that word you can tell it is people who have “lost” their ability to feel.. they feel numb.. hell i know cuz my ex was one of them.. they may show themselves as normal people laughing and joking.. but they just cant relate to others.. they cant feel sympathy..
you need to search more on this and adjust your essay
Good work though

Great Plugin, thanks for sharing this info with us

2010-01-25 05:32:46:

I hear ya Richard. They sit there tell you your going to die. You tell them ” hey i found these not hundreds, but thousands of testimonies of people having success with this ” doctor says ” don’t be foolish, don’t waste your money, these just simply do not work, so when can we schedule you for chemo with no proven track record and a record that many doctors are starting to realize and reject its ‘treatment’ ?”

Ya if only, right? - Intereting Richard I’ve been conversing with a man who has a PhD is in Linguistics. He did some interesting research and wrote some articles on the approved studies on Laetrile from the past that I really think you should see. What is your email, I can email them to you. He really has blown the lid off these tests. I’ve been quite impressed. He mentioned I can pass them along to anyone I want to.

I think you would probably enjoy the read and be able to better refute these false claims of the Mayo clinic studies.

2010-01-23 03:26:50:

That’s great! The telling thing about chemotherapy and radiation is that the medical industry provides no five-year followup testimonials for the treatments… and you can bet the few patients who do live that long made immediate changes to their diets by loading up on spinach leaves.

Prevention is the best method, which means eating foods with amygdalin every day–not regular scans.

2010-01-23 01:59:02:

My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer, he took radiation, and oddly enough the cancer went away technically. But his psa levels rose 3 times in a row, but 2.0 each time. So the doctor said it has likely spread to the bone. well we KNOW we are not going to do chemo. So i researched much like you Richard, trying to do anything we can do to save our beloved.

As far as cyanide in apricot seeds.. yes, praise God for that. BTW my father eats close to 40 apricot seeds a day, just to avoid my mom and I from getting on his case. He is not only doing apricot seeds though.

He is doing :
- Budwig Protocol (cottage cheese and flax oil to promote healthy cell growth and protection)

- 40 apricot seeds daily (NO ill side effect whatsoever - don’t let these brain washed people tell you your going to get sick) like 30 bucks for a 1 pound bad lasts more than a month or 2.
- He takes drops of MMS - 19.99 for a 6 month supply
- Hemp Oil - not Hemp seed Oil - HEMP OIL with high contents of THC
- Alkaline diet (cancer cannot live in an alkaline state - as per research)
- Exercise

My father has had no cancer pains, no cancer signs, his PSA is currently 0.53 having risen slightly but not signifigantly, but well below normal. he has been going back and forth the the Oncologist for 5 years, with no progression in cancer whatsoever via scans or visable lumps or prostate problems or bone pains)

Having read about a diet that is Alkaline. I decieded I was going to lose some wieght. With regular daily walking 3-5 KM a day, i’ve now to this day lost a total of 117 pounds. But of course, If i read all the crap everyone else was saying about apricot seeds, and ignored the many testimonies that I might add include email address’s and phone numbers and full names often for personal followups.

But maybe were crazy huh? perhaps we should STOP what were doing now and take the conventional methods like chemo or radiation again? and perhaps watch my father kill not only his healthy cells, but his bloody organs he need to fight the damn disease!

I’m happy to see your consistency Richard. Its often times an up hill battle when everyone is against you but those that are actually going through it.

The way i look at this, some cancers can be considered to far along for many alternative methods. But when caught early and if you become aware of the dietary changes that MUST be made, and start overdosing(loosly used) on these alternatives. Then you can fight, and give yourself the best possible chance at treating, fending off, or curing your cancer.

As a side note on Hemp Oil, www.pheonixtears.ca
the factual and scientific studies are not out on hemp oil, the jury is not out, its in. The facts are there for hemp. It does have a direct effect on cancer. Evident by the oddly placed and purchased patent of US Government on cannibinoids. Go figure.

Educate yourself, and give your head a shake! and if your a doctor reading this and are sending your patients to get chemo, shame on you!

Wheat grass and wheat grass juice contains amygdalin and will kill cancerous cells in both animals and people. Apple, plum, and apricot seeds are good sources too. G. Edward Griffin has some interesting films: The Science and Politics of Cancer and World Without Cancer.

Hey just wanted to say that this is a top blog. Whilst reading i found myself agreeing with all that you were saying. So excellent info here.

2010-01-18 02:54:05:

Once I randomly searched the web and I’ve come across your page. I’ve found it beautiful! Of course, I did not agree on everything but that’s never the point! Nobody is 100% right. What is right anyway, in matters of personal growth? The only thing you can do is telling your story, your experience. And that is precious in my opinion for very few people do it, so directly and honestly.

2010-01-16 20:06:59:

Interesting post. I consider myself an open-minded person. I have learned some stuff from your article. For one thing, I had no idea that humanity accounted for such a small proportion of the earth’s total carbon emission.

I am not well read in this subject so I honestly am not qualified to write a response. But I think there is a need to account for cleaner fuels in the pricing. For example, we recently bought a propane boiler to replace our oil one. Propane is a far cleaner fuel than oil. This means less smog, less respiratory problems in the aggregate (not to mention that the US has a ton of natural gas reserves and doesn’t have to import it.) These external benefits should somewhat be reflected in the price.

My 2c.

What I love most about your work is the terrific range of subjects and the obvious time and care with which you have chosen your scenes.

Choose any human emotion, and somewhere we will find it sensitively portrayed in your work.

For example, Stormy Sunset is beautiful. It portrays loneliness, vacancy, and impending doom. Looked at in one way, one can feel cozy; and in another exposed.

And, then when we find out where the photo was taken, there is a certain sense of humor involved as well.

Thank you for your generosity in sharing your talent with the rest of us.

Dear Thripp,

just relax. I can tell you one thing only: you are not the only one in this mess.

Thinking about life, about personal growth, society, moral can be extremely tiring. Especially after some time, when you have a feeling you’re losing it. When you look back on what you’ve written it seems so full of shit. What was I doing? you think. How was I so sure, so certain about some things back then? And preaching to people… who am I to speak whatsoever? I’m nobody! I don’t know anything. This is how I feel, quite often.

So… don’t be to harsh on yourself. Give yourself some time, some credit… keep writing, if for yourself only, then for yourself. It’s always interesting to look back and see how you were thinking.

Life is going to turn out fine, you’ll see. Just believe it. From my observation you have the potential to live a very full life, not necessarily sunny all the time but definitely full of awareness and curiosity.

I wish you all the best!

2010-01-06 04:32:09:

gosh…

for a price as low as this one, I wonder if you even use a camera…
With people like you, the photography market will never get better.

If you valued your work and your gear a little bit more, you’d charged at least 40$ an hour, and that would still be an insult for many photographer, but, at least, you’d not being self-exploiting yourself.

lets put this simply:
if you ARE a photographer, ask for the price.
if you ARE NOT a photographer, make it clear that you ARE NOT or want to enter the market but don’t have the experience yet. And then, work for someone as second shooter, you’ll get experience and confidence which I can say, by the price you’re charging, are both things you lack.

Anyway, don’t take my comment badly, it’s just that we see to many peoples grabing a point-and-shoot and calling themselves photographs or cousins and nephew making it “for free”. In both situations, in a wedding, “free” means “honey, we should have hired a pro”. I get a lot of couples calling me to shoot them in their wedding outfits 2-3 months after their wedding happened because the cheap photographer, well… was cheap. This way of thinking that if you like photography and are pretty good at it makes you a photographer ruins some peoples weddings. Don’t improvise yourself on something ones needs to remember forever.

I’m not being a bitch there but get me right: a regular wedding photographer will charge at least 1200$ which is a very friendly price. (that’s what I charge to my friends)
Why? well… editing is at the very least about 2 full days of job plus one day of work. Add the gear and you’re already bellow the 400$ a day. that’s nothing for someone who realisticaly CAN’T work everyday.

Last word: the previous comment shows something important. People will move to you for the PRICE, not for your TALENT. With the cost you charge, you will never know if people truly enjoy your skills and if you should try to make a living out of it. One day, you’ll wake up and will need to rise up your price to keep up and that day, my friend, clients might not be showing up and it might hurt emotionaly and financialy. The clients you’re attracting with your prices are the ones who will say bye bye the day someone else will be cheaper. And, by the way, those clients are not loyal and not very respectful, like anyone toward cheap labor.

Please, think about the core of what I’ve said. And good luck for anything you’ll

2010-01-01 20:52:45:

There is such a thing as being evil, I think we are all born pure, our environment and the way in which we were raised, the morals we accepted as our foundation in life and the experiences we have endured change us into either evil or good, or both.

I am evil, with some good in me, but my thoughts and ideas and even goals will make me pure evil. This is a line that must be crossed before one can become pure evil. Mine will be the day I murder/torture another person. A part of me, wants to try this very much, I feel as if I have a thirst for blood(not literal). Yet another part me has a problem choosing someone that does not deserve to die. I fear that once I start, I will not have any control over this very powerful feeling.

If you were to meet me in person you would never suspect I was evil, because I’m smart enough not to let anyone know. Yes, I know you could track down my ip but I have yet to commit a crime so it will not do you any good, besides I’m not even home now. I could be your next door neighbor, or your best friend and you would never know of my true intentions, my dreams, my thoughts and my fantasies. There is no protection from pure evil, I learned that at an early age, perhaps it is what made me whom I have become today.

I would hardly call any of these acts evil. You want true evil? Manipulate others into doing evil for you, or do it yourself. Causing death or making others wish they were dead is pure evil, whether it is physical pain or emotional.

Oh and I’m not depressed, I never am, in fact I rarely feel emotions. I’m not anti-social all the time either. I have many “friends”, they just don’t know the real me. I do prefer to be along sometimes but I also enjoy meeting new people, and I don’t always have the best intentions in mind, but you would never know until it was too late.

Why is it that wild animals are found to never possess cancer or signs of cancer in the wild. But as they are domesticated cancer is apparent in selected animals thru human feed .

Hi, Richard X. Thripp!

I would like to know if you have updated do follow blog list, because i checked some 10 out of your list and 7 were no follow. Maybe it was my bad luck or something. :)

But still, thanks for great share.

I understand some of your points except that you can’t be a doctor if you don’t go to medical school. I wouldn’t trust a street doctor who had not gone through training and successfully graduated to operate on me. Same thing with nurses who have to give out medications or administer procedures, and pharmacists, architects, and certain types of engineers. Even computer programmers have to read books and learn the languages rules. Of course all the mathematics in school might never be applicable in real life, but it’s a kind of brain exercise to help you to think in different ways, different areas of knowledge. Once you become a programmer, you’ll never know what kind of application you’ll work on. Just like if you plan to be a doctor, you might not know if you will be a cardiologist or brain surgeon. You can’t limit your knowledge just to the heart or the brain. You should know the whole body at least. It will be too bad if a computer programmer doesn’t know anything about math or chemistry. Stay out of the politics. There is no right answer. Just because there are people who take advantage of the welfare system doesn’t mean that the ones who really need help deserve to be banned. You never know someday you might need socialized health care. It’s the quality of the people and the people in the government that need to be improved, not the idea of socialized healthcare if bad.

Very nice plugin introduce

Great
thanks for share this one

2009-12-23 18:47:22:

Thanks very much for this big list. You are really helping the fellow bloggers but i have noticed that as soon as a list of high PR blogs come out the spammers start spammming which results in turning the blog to nofollow.Ultimately we will be left with very few dofollow blogs in future.

2009-12-23 07:41:40:

Please how I can add (Tweet This) to blogger blog

I know, I use Google for all my email and I wonder if I should be worrying about what they can do with it. Corporatism is merging big businesses with big government, so this could all become an extension of the government to punish political enemies. Be wary of institutions.

2009-12-22 17:19:37:

That is very good. Most people just read and take away something from what you’ve written. If you just enjoy writing for yourself, you have nothing to worry about.

No, it’s not sarcastic and it’s not meant to mock you. The Dodo bird covered one-third of the sky back in the 1800s and is now completely extinct. Extinction happens all the time whether we like it or not.

2009-12-22 15:06:19:

I have always been leery of the amount of information we willingly give up to massive data aggregators like Google. I believe many people never stop to think just how much of their own personal information they are giving away. Plus, the average user I doubt realizes how many services are run by a company like Google. They certainly have the widest range of services, but other companies like Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter all essentially “own” the data you willingly provide them.

It is mind boggling when you stop and think about how much information you are really giving up. It is a scary thought really.

2009-12-22 14:55:06:

Richard - I couldn’t agree with you more. I run a few blogs and have found that community participation is low. Yes, I do get comments on articles that are meant to pique people’s interest on a certain topic, but overall, I have accepted the fact that my blogs are primarily “read only” websites. I do still get excited when I see a quality comment on a blog of mine. there is a certain sense of satisfaction one gets when someone else comments on their work. However, I am happy with people simply reading my blog - after all, that is the reason I write.

2009-12-22 14:49:00:

I use Tweet This on a few of my Wordpress blogs. It works quite well. I have one Twitter account that I use that aggregates the Tweets from new posts from all of my blogs. This plugin has really helped me set that up. I barely have to pay attention to it or worry about posting links to my new posts with this plugin installed.

Reddit vs. Twitter vs. Digg….

I offer all three options on my Austin apartment locator services and listings website and was wondering which one has the most link juice when it comes to SEO for Google. http://www.apartmentninjas.com/city-search/city/austin.html

2009-12-22 00:47:52:

For some reason I feel a slight hint of sarcasm in this post, but who cares, right?

Anyway, some things need said:

-In general, people, on an individual level, do not want to waste their own money to save the Earth. Other people can do it for them, everybody relies on somebody else to take the first step. In this situation, there is no first step. That is the reason for government intervention. In actuality most laws or bills that pass do very little and are ineffectual. It’s the general mood of society that slowly changes when these “enforcing” words are passed, and progress is made.

-Hitler said what? And the planet would be better without us, thousands of extinct animals would agree (remember the Dodo bird?): we are a bane to this planet, but we are the greatest thing to ever happen to each other.

-If any of this (which it reads as if it is) is directed solely to mock me, think of my philosophy: anybody who needs to directly insult another in an argument admits defeat.

I’m happy for you Son. I think you lightened your burden a lot by lowering yourself. It’s true that when you know that you don’t know much, you begin to know more. “For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.” (Luke 14:11)

Temperatures are getting colder across the Atlantic seaboard as more ice and snowstorms roll in, yet global warming is trumpeted as the result of man’s greed and avarice. Why then are temperatures getting colder? The sun is a bigger influence on temperature than anything we can do.

Oh, I’m not sure of myself anymore… the people who act the most confident are the ones who are most immature inside, and I’m definitely one of them now. False fronts serve no one.

Watch some of Alex Jone’s films and you’ll see that carbon taxes cannot possibly benefit the people. They are an excuse to cheapen human life. We’re being penny wise and dollar foolish. It was so windy out last night… if every house in Daytona Beach, Florida had a windmill on its roof, we could’ve sold enough power back to the electric companies to pay all our bills. But instead we get government intervention which tends to stifle the free market and starve and imprison people. Don’t keep believing what you hear on CNN or the nightly news.

They aren’t doing it to tax your breathing, kill your babies and rule the world, holy shit man, are you the same type of person that believes the video Loose Change? You’re 18 and writing this type of stuff: you honestly know absolutely nothing about anything. Back when I was your age I had a teacher that always told us that when he was in high school, he thought he was super intelligent (national merit finalist, skipped a year, high grades etc,) but when he got to college he realized his stupidity. In all honesty, you sound like a person who is SO SURE of himself that he will not change his attitude. Am I correct in assuming you will always think you’re right?

My guess is that you’ve never held a menial job. Do so, soon, as it will be the first step towards realizing you’re not the best. Also, read about intelligence, theories, and psychology. I hope we share some inkling of mindset in that if you do read these you’ll learn something about yourself. I also just read your dumb, smart, and smarter article: all wrong. First and foremost, any “smarter” person does not go and post about how other people are dumb or under them in smartness, i.e. intelligence. Second off, a theme for your “smarter” people is to be manipulative and the apparent lack of need for others. An actual “smarter” person would realize how one cant do everything with ones own means.

Even your picture speaks to your elevated ego and super confidence: crossed arms, a determined look and “hard” facial expression off to the side of the camera? Please, if you didn’t care so much about how others viewed you, you’d take a picture of yourself in a natural state, and since you cant do that when you’re photographing a portrait, you’d take a random snapped photo somebody took when you weren’t looking.

Travel the world before you talk about it- you’ll learn why poor people are poor and the hippies act the way they do. Honestly, if you just look at pictures of the ice caps over the past 50 years you’d see they are receding. If you traveled through the haze of Hong Kong you’d begin to advocate for less emissions. You sound like a typical ultra conservative.

Dear Jesus, kid, I could vent more but, in all honesty, I don’t care much more than what’s above. I just hope you grow up soon, and, in the process, learn something.

(dreamotters2003@yahoo.com)
Photography’s success has always been it is cheap, easy, and exact, and it has many uses. Like all art, be it writing, sculpting, or painting, it is an expression of the artist. If you want to call a photographer nothing but a photographer, there is still one thing that makes them an artist. They created this as art, no one else is responsible for it, it has no other purpose.

My sister, totally untrained, can take better photos than any photographer I’ve met. It is funny how a flash on a “35mm” digital camera can make photos awesome. But… I can take a cell phone camera and make a high-resolution panorama of the forest in winter. But… she is an artist perhaps, and I am a simple photographer. The problem lies with, if you don’t consider photography an art, then what do you consider it? These snapshots which I would gladly hang on my wall in place of a Van Gogh?

You, of course, know the difference between a guy that “paints houses” like Bob Ross and a guy that “paints houses” like Bob Villa, one is an artist the other is an engineer. But if you “photograph houses” and want to call it art, you have to separate it from someone that likes to “photograph houses” and print them in the classifieds.

So what makes a photo a work of art? Not the photographer… but the observer. Surely DaVinci made drawings that were simply used to explain what something looked like, and did not have artistic reasons behind it. But his designs were art, even if the drawing wasn’t, but if the drawing was beautiful, then is it art also? It is a complex inquiry, but I think we need to allow photography to be art. Simply labelling everything photographed as photography, would be too simple and lazy, and dangerous.

I would hate to lose art because we can’t define it concretely.

Thanks Nelly. Reducing your carbon footprint (being less wasteful) is fine, but a tax on breathing will kill the people.

2009-12-15 18:33:28:

Thanks Tracy! Carbon taxes are an excuse to impoverish the people and establish world government. Don’t be wasteful, but don’t support carbon taxes.

Thanks Ulysses! There are other things you can do such as the tweet_this() function if you want to put the links in different places. I detailed a lot of that in the FAQ. It works fine for me also; when I make a new post Send to Twitter is checked and it goes on my Twitter.

Of course there are other features that could be added, but my concentration for coding seems to have gone… I’m glad you found it useful and I made a few cents from your clicks.

Hi Richard,

I just want to thank you for making this plugin. I started using your plugin on my site. I essentially got rid of two plugins and replaced it with yours, sort of killing two birds with one stone. I’m so glad you placed a custom option for others who run their own URL shortener scripts. Works great on mine! The icons look great, too. I’m with you for no more updates. Why change if its not broken. I added a few to your Google funds.
