I haven't touched the categories or tags in three weeks since this, and new assignments are working fine (but I'm not using the plugins). When I tried them, I just dropped them in the mu-plugins folder.

I've been backing up the database before each big change now, and I'll definitely need to stop doing live editing as I get more visitors.</description>

		<description>Sorry to hear about your problems with the Global Posts plugin. I'd strongly recommend running full backups before installing any new plugins, upgrades, etc. I'd also suggest testing on an offline blog if you can. I run a development server in VMWare with a few test installs so I can make sure things work before deploying.

If you want to &lt;a href="http://www.callum-macdonald.com/code/sh-global-posts/" rel="nofollow"&gt;post some info&lt;/a&gt; on what borked your categories, I'll be happy to look into it. It might have been the real global terms plugin that caused the issues rather than the global posts plugin.</description>
