This Martin Luther King Jr. Day: The Fight Continues

This Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I implore you: The Civil Rights Movement is NOT over. We still have systematic economic, institutional, and cultural inequities, de facto segregation, gentrification, the cradle-to-prison pipeline, women’s inequality, climate injustice, and more.

Kristy and I visited the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia on August 5, 2017. Here are four photos. Viewer discretion is advised for the final photo.

Remember, Dr. MLK Jr. was RADICAL. He called the Vietnam war “madness” when two-thirds of Americans approved of the war. President Kennedy’s brother wiretapped him. At the time, many would have considered him an enemy of the people, but now we know better.
