  1. Mr. Thripp, thank you for your website. And congratulations for such wonderful resume.

My name is Maria G. and I have right now a Small Claim against Amazon.com, Inc. for the very same reason as yours. I would like to subpoena you to give your testify to my claim. If you accept since you are in Florida and my case is in California I can ask the Court to know how much it is for your to send me a letter notorized as expert whitness or something that I can use in my case. I know that for this whitness could charge a price. If, of course you accept the deposition on my case. Since this is a Court procedure I think you are allowed to give you deposition abput your experience, and talk about your knowlegde of that sad situation that customers around the Country are living trought.

Please, if you can contact me by the email address that I send on the form.

Look foward to hear from you.

    1. My apologies to hear that Amazon is defrauding you of your Amazon gift card balance like they tried with me! I am not too familiar with the rules for depositions in court, but sent you an email about this.

  2. Hey Richard,

I have a few questions for you:

    1. Did amazon reinstate your account?

    2. Through what payment method did amazon refund you by?

    3. After reaching a resolution how long did it take to receive the refund?

    1. The resolution was reached via negotiation with Amazon’s legal counsel, and the settlement was issued by check from their legal counsel, which was received very quickly. A few days later, my account was suspended again, which is what Amazon’s Executive Customer Relations team said would happen. Unfortunately I must not reveal details of the settlement due to a confidentiality clause.

As far as I know, I am permanently banned from using any Amazon services in any way—I will never be able to shop on Amazon again. However, this situation has not changed (except briefly when I was offered the opportunity to spend the gift card balance or ask for a check), and has been this way since August 2015. Like any merchant, it is within Amazon’s rights to permanently ban customers.
